Honey Roasted Butternut Squash With Apples & Pecans

I found this great recipe on the package of my fresh cut butternut squash. It looked yummy so I had to try it. The flavor of the roasted squash and apples with the crunch of the pecans is fantastic. This is a great way to get your family members to eat their veges. Enjoy. -- posted by CarolAT

Bleu Cheese Dip

This is relatively healthy, for a dip. It goes well with potato chips or crudites (veggies). -- posted by Ice Cool Kitty

Dehydrator Creamed Corn

To rehydrate and cook dried corn: In a saucepan, combine 1/4 cup dried corn with 1 cup hot water. If the corn has been blanched, it will rehydrate in 5 to 10 minutes, unblanched corn will take about 30 minutes or longer. Bring the rehydrated corn to a boil and cook for 3 to 5 minutes, cover and let sit for 5 minutes. Drain. This will yield 3/4 cup cooked corn.
This recipe adapted from "Mary Bell's Complete Dehydrator Cookbook". Prep time does NOT include dehydrator drying time. -- posted by TxGriffLover

Green Chili Dip

Make this for the big game! This one has hamburger, but no cheese! It's made the day before and then reheated and served in a small crock or fondue pot. Serve with corn chips and tortillas. -- posted by Ice Cool Kitty

Hot Reuben Dip

Serve with rye bagel chips or toasted pieces of rye bread. The recipes calls for Bavarian Sauerkraut, the recipe can be found here (recipe #409110). Or just use sauerkraut that has been rinsed and drained. -- posted by Ice Cool Kitty

Black Beans and Rice With Veggies

This is a modification of a simpler recipe I found online - I used less beans and added celery, carrots, and tomatoes, plus a few other mods. I'm just posting it so I can get the nutritional values of this version, but if someone else wants to use it, enjoy! -- posted by Nell Gwyn

Mix in the Pan Chocolate Cake

When you don't think that you have enough time to make a homemade cake, don't even think about using a cake mix. Instead make this easy homemade chocolate cake that is mixed in the pan it is baked in. Top this moist cake with any type of frosting you want or no frosting at all. I got this recipe from Martha Stewert's Everyday Food Magazine from November 2009. -- posted by Cupcake-Princess
